Keisei runs all night on New Year’s Eve including “City Liner” to Naritasan

Keisei Electric Railway announced all-night operation from December 31, 2020 (Thursday) New Year’s Eve to January 1, 2021 (Friday) New Year Day, and a special timetable to be held during the year-end and New Year holidays.

From New Year’s Eve to New Year’s Day, they will operate local trains all night on the Keisei Main Line (between Keisei-Ueno Station and Keisei-Narita Station), Oshiage Line and Kanamachi Line. In addition, the “City Liner” will be operated at midnight. On New Year’s Eve, train no. “225” departs from Keisei-Ueno Station (22:40) to Keisei-Narita Station, and in the early morning of New Year’s Day, “226” departs from Keisei-Narita (3:00) to Keisei-Ueno.

From December 30, 2020 (Wednesday) to January 3, 2021 (Sunday), they will operate on Saturdays and holidays. From January 1 (Friday / holiday) to January 3 (Sunday), 2021, the number of regular trains will be increased during the daytime between Keisei-Usui Station and Keisei-Narita Station on the Keisei Main Line and on the Kanamachi Line to strengthen the transportation capacity of visitors to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and Shibata Teishakuten along the lines.

The extra “City Liner” trains will be operated between Keisei-Ueno Station and Keisei-Narita Station on Saturdays and holidays (12 days) during January, including New Year’s three days. The schedule is train no. “91” from Keisei-Ueno (9:07) to Keisei-Narita, and “92” from Keisei-Narita (15:14) to Keisei-Ueno.

The “City Liner” is an all-seat reserved train that uses the AE series train (for Skyliner) via the Keisei Main Line, and has been operating only during the year-end and New Year holidays in recent years. It will stop at Nippori, Aoto, and Keisei Funabashi on the way. The limited express fare between Keisei-Ueno and Keisei-Narita is 970 yen for adults and 490 yen for children. The head mark of the annual “Naritasan Kaiun (meaning good luck)” will be posted on the car body.
